The company uses a system that requires a constant supply of fluid. Inventflow inspected the existing pumping installations for maintenance.
Each pump installation received power separately, and the pressure in the piping was reduced using a relief valve. This resulted in significant energy loss. The question was: maintain it again, or replace it?
Our energy saving calculation showed that replacing the entire pump installation was the best choice. Energy saving, efficiency, and lower Life Cycle Costs were central to the selection of the new pump.
The result is a redundant system: two pumps can keep all installations running.
Due to the pressure reduction and the new control system, approximately 90% of energy was saved on the supply pumps. The return pumps went from 2.2 kW to 0.55 kW: a saving of more than 70%.
