Mobile pump unit for hot pasta sauce

A customer in the food industry was looking for a reliable pumping solution for pumping pasta sauce with pieces of minced meat at various locations in the production environment. Three requirements applied:

• The pump had to be able to handle solid particles and high temperatures.
• Because it concerns a food product: the highest hygiene standards and simple, thorough cleaning.
• The pump had to be mobile so that the customer could easily move it within the factory.

For this application we selected the DEPA SteriTec S1. This EHEDG-certified diaphragm pump is suitable for the hygienic pumping of products containing solids and at high temperatures:

• Hygienic design according to EHEDG guidelines
• Suitable for pumping solid particles
• Resistant to high temperatures

We designed a robust, fully mobile unit on sturdy industrial wheels around the pump. A compressed air unit accurately regulates pressure and volume, allowing the pump to be easily tuned to the process.

After pump selection and design, the complete unit was assembled and installed in our workshop. In doing so, we tailored everything to the customer's working environment.

The customer has a versatile pump unit that is easy to deploy in various locations throughout the factory. Thanks to the compressed air unit, the pump is also suitable for dosing applications, such as filling packaging. Precision, hygiene, and mobility come together in a single unit.
